Microsoft will end support for the Windows 10 operating system on October 14, 2025. That means no more regular security patches or technical support—creating a significant risk for corporate IT environments. The change affects all editions: Home, Pro, and Enterprise. Companies using Microsoft have two options:
- Upgrade to the modern Windows 11 (check if your device meets the requirements), or
- Use the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, which provides up to three years of extended security updates. These updates do not include new features, are paid, and increase in price each year.
After 2028, the only options will be moving to a new operating system (Windows 11) or a cloud solution.
